Fallowfield Dedication Ceremony

Gordon Alfred Fallowfield was a Township of Langley resident for over 40 years and worked hard to make Langley a great place to live by endlessly volunteering his time to the residents and the community.

Gordon served as President of the West Langley Community Hall from 1976 to 1988. During his tenure the Hall was rebuilt in 1977 with tremendous volunteer effort after it burned down the previous year.

Gordon was very active in other aspects of the community and was the recipient of the Eric Flowerdew “Volunteer of the Year” Award in 1983. He as Chair of the Langley Walk in 1981, founding member of the North West Langley Lions Club, Coordinator with Langley’s Citizens Crime Watch, Soccer and softball coach and President of the Langley Girls Softball.

The Fallowfield Diamond has been named in recognition of Gordon Alfred Fallowfield’s contributions to the community, his love for softball, and his commitment to the rebuilding of the West Langley Community Hall.
