Bert Salmon

My name is Byron Salmon and I am the youngest son of Bert Salmon. I regret to inform you that Bert passed away at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster on Jan 26 2008 after a lengthy illness. Bert is survived by my brother Berridge Salmon ( who many of you know ), my sister Norma McKay and myself and our families.

 As many of you know Bert worked for many years at Simonds Saws in both saw manufacturing and saw sales. He traveled extensively throughout Canada,New Zealand and Australia in later years for Simonds setting up distribution networks. More recently he worked for Carbide Tool Works sharing his knowledge and experience

 Bert loved the saw industry and the long term relationships he formed. He spoke fondly of the BC Filers Association and the many wonderful people he met along the way.
